Alan Oke founded Oke Surfboards in 1968 in a small shop in Edithvale, Victoria. A passionate and enthusiastic surfer, Alan was a familiar face on Phillip Island and played a significant role in the local surf community. As one of the early boardmakers in Victoria, Alan's creations captured the spirit and innovation of the era, with popular styles like trackers and pocket rockets.
In 1974, Alan's younger brother Neil joined the business, bringing his experience from the George Rice factory and his competitive surfing background. Together, the Oke brothers continued to innovate and experiment with board styles and designs, cementing their reputation for quality and craftsmanship.
Today, every Oke Surfboard is 100% handmade from start to finish at their Braeside, Victoria factory, ensuring the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.
